Practice Support Services

GPLGs were established through an agreement between the Local Medical Committee and the
Buckinghamshire Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board to ensure that GPs
had a voice in primary care transformation.

 GPLGs are seen as system experts in general practice service delivery. They engage with both general practice and local partners on service development.

In Berkshire West the GPLG function is operated by the Alliance. We participate in groups at place and system level, including digital, clinical interface and urgent care.

Over the last two winters the Alliance has coordinated a Respiratory Hub network amongst all practices in Berkshire West, delivering additional primary care appointments for people with respiratory issues.
