Contraception

Long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) is the most effective form of reversible birth control. There are two types of LARC: IUDs (or intrauterine device) and implants. IUDs are inserted into your uterus and implants are inserted into your arm. They can prevent pregnancy for several years. Your provider can remove your birth control if you decide to become pregnant.

LARC is funded by your local council.

Contact your GP to find out where you can access LARC services.

More information about contraception can be found on the NHS website.

Easy-read guides to contraception has been put together by NHS Forth Valley.
